If you are reading this you already know about my new website. I learned the hard way about not letting your domain lapse. I was 2 days past my grace period for renewal on my Berardphoto.com site, it was bought up by a clearing house and offered back to me at an astronomical rate. After my studio was burglarized twice I was not going to let the white collar bandits hit me as well.

The big news is we are opening a restaurant on Madison's East side. Talula as it is called will be opening somewhere near the end of May. We have taken over the former Mexicalli Rose/CJ's Supper club bringing it back to more of a neighborhood gathering spot with a great bar, expansive outdoor dining/socializing patio to compliment the indoor dining and meeting rooms. Mary Reed (my wife) and Keith Blew (former owner of Fyfe's Corner Bistro) are the masterminds behind this exciting venture. Stay Tuned. The website is www.talula802.com  (not yet launched).

 Yet more news. My studio will be moving from it's current Winnebago street location to the lower backside of the restaurant. what began as a temporary place to work out of has blossomed into a full studio location. 

 After 16 years of private commissions and many friendships along the way, I have closed my portrait division to concentrate my efforts full time in the commercial/editorial sector. It was a hard decision to make but the work load facilitating both has been compromising my effectiveness in both markets.
